What an event! Miss Katie and I once again hopped down to Southern California for major cuteness! I kept bugging her that if there was ever a Spank! event then WE ARE GOING. And we went!

We have a friend from Visalia who moved out to Beverly Hills, and we were originally going to stay at her place until some family issues came up. So the week leading up to the event we landed a place to crash. My friend Alice lives pretty close to WWA Gallery so it worked out perfectly. We arrived after a quick Fashion District run and some Chinese food lunch (in Little Tokyo.. go figure). 

We got ready and still made it to the venue early. This also meant explaining to passersby why we’re standing in line all dressed up. But we got in, took in all the art, and grabbed a spot in line for the pop-up shop. The way it was decorated, it could have been my room when I was 3! Or my sewing room today, haha. We indulged in some goods from Spank! and Chubby Bunny (some of the items featured work from my pal Zambicandy). Lemme say though, this is probably the only time I’ll drop $35 on a pair of tights >< 

The rest of the evening consisted of saying hi to friends we don’t see often, getting down to the 80’s music, the Spank/Chubby Bunny fashion show (sooo inspiring!), and me being whiny from my crippling Betsey Johnson shoes! Haha, never again! 

Next morning some of the girls from the event were having a yard sale in Redondo Beach. We stopped by, scored some deals, and had to leave in order to avoid bad weather on the grapevine. We ended up being stuck for about 1 1/2 hours in pouring rain, but barely missed the snow. Whew!
